Minister of Health (Minister of Health) Budi Gunadi Sadikin mentioned the number of cases of monkey pox or monkeypox In Indonesia there are already 35 people spread across Jakarta, Banten and Bandung.

“There are 35 (cases) of monkey pox. There are five in Banten, two in Bandung and the rest in Jakarta,” said Minister of Health Budi, after opening the International World Health Congress, in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, Friday (10/11) .

He explained that what the government had done was promotion or outreach so that people maintain good health. The reason is that monkey pox can be transmitted through sexual contact.

“It only occurs in certain groups and is transmitted sexually. So you don’t need to worry too much that this spreads like Covid-19, because the transmission is certainly limited,” he said.

“We teach the public to maintain good (sexual) health behavior by doing it well and correctly,” continued Budi.

He stated that the government had provided enough vaccines and medicine for monkey pox to overcome the disease.

“There is also a vaccine and it has been given to (certain) groups and the medicine is available. So all the people who got it have been treated and thank God they are all healthy, none of them were fatal,” he explained.

Budi said that in Bali no cases of monkey pox had been found, but he asked the public to monitor their sexual behavior.

“In Bali itself, until now there hasn’t been any and I hope there won’t be. For certain groups, sexual relations must be good,” he said.
