Coming into force on July 1, 2021, the reform of the energy performance diagnosis (DPE) had caused a lot of ink to flow. Initially criticized by diagnosticians due to anomalies, the method of calculating the new DPE was finally corrected at the end of 2021.
A year later, it was the turn of the UFC-Que Choisir to deplore a lack of reliability of this new DPE. According to a study carried out by Hello Watt, 71% of DPEs were not correct, displaying a discrepancy between the energy label and the home’s consumption in kWh/m²/year.
The specter of the rental ban

This Monday, the Minister of the Economy opened the door to a “ modification » of the DPE, having noted many negative feedback regarding the heating method or small areas.
