As the song “Party in the USA” kicked off and Miley began to sing, her top suddenly popped off. The singer did her best to hold on to her top while singing, but soon came to the conclusion that she really had to change clothes. She shot behind the stage to put on a new outfit, while her backing singers temporarily took over the song from her. Miley returned not long after in a red blazer and finished the song neatly.

At the end of the show she came back to her ‘wardrobe malfunction’. “Tonight was all about being flexible and making the best of bad situations. And that shouldn’t stop here, let’s carry these thoughts into the new year,” said Miley.
