Milan backed to take away Chelsea’s £ 24 million talent and sell it for a profit – EzAnime.net

Italian giants AC Milan could buy Chelsea borrower Fikayo Tomori permanently by activating his buyout clause, a journalist said.

The defender sealed a loan to the Serie A club in January after falling through the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Tomori will return to London at the end of the season. However, the 23-year-old has been hailed for his impressive performances at the San Siro since his move.

In fact, Milan might as well pay the £ 25 million (28 million euros) termination clause in his contract to keep him in Italy full time.

In his ten games for Milan, Tomori has lost only three times and kept two clean sheets. However, it is his style of play that impresses manager Stefano Pioli.

Journalist Adam Newson told MilanNews that he believes Chelsea made a mistake in implementing the release clause.

He said: “Personally, I think Chelsea have made a mistake inserting the clause in favor of Milan, because I think Tomori has great skills and would be perfect for Tuchel’s three-man defense.

“However, the Blues have other talented young center-backs like Marc Guehi, perhaps this influenced Chelsea’s decision on Tomori.”

Tomori appears in only four Chelsea matches before their temporary transfer to Milan.

Tomori subvalorado

Newson said he believed the £ 25 million price tag was too low.

Expert opinions on this differed when it arrived in the Italian capital, but it has since proven its worth.

Newson added: “Actually, I think 28 million euros is a bit low for Tomori.

“He is only 23 years old, he is already an English international and he can only improve with experience.

“His performances so far have been impressive and I understand why Maldini (Paulo, Milan coach) wants to sign him.

“Also, if Tomori stayed with the Rossoneri and played regularly at a good level, in a couple of years he would attract the interests of the Premier League and Milan could sell him for much more than what they paid for him.”

The Chelsea academy graduate previously enjoyed stints in Hull City and Derby County.
