Thanks to the success at Bentegodi, the Rossoneri overcame in classification l’Interthat Friday he had beaten Empoli at the Meazza, reaching 80 points, two more than his Nerazzurri cousins. Two days from the end of the championship, Milan just need 4 points in the last 180 minutes to be sure of the championship. But the Rossoneri could celebrate the conquest of their 19th tricolor already on Sunday evening.

Milan, party already on Sunday if …
In the next round, number 37, Milan and Inter will both play on Sunday 15 May. The Rossoneri will host aAtalanta in the running for Europe, the Nerazzurri will face an away match at 20:45 Cagliari in full struggle for salvation. Milan would be champion of Italy in case of victory against Gasperini’s team and in case of failure of Inzaghi’s men in Sardinia. At 83 points, the Rossoneri would be unattainable (Inter would rise to 79 with a draw and would remain at 78 with a defeat). Even a draw with Atalanta could be enough for Milan to win the Scudetto one day in advance, but only in the event of Inter’s defeat in Cagliari: in this case the Rossoneri would reach +3 over Lautaro and his teammates but would mathematically champions for the advantage in direct matches (1-1 and 2-1).

In all other cases, the championship will be awarded in the last 90 ‘, Sunday 22 May. The calendar foresees for Milan the trip to Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo and for Inter the home match against Sampdoria.
