“Francis has a list”, “Francis will help us”, “Francis here and Francis there”. The words of Pablo Milad, president of the ANFP, to talk about the new coach of La Roja always end with Francis Cagigao, the new national sports director of Chilean football.
Who is he? Although Milad wanted to paint it differently, the Spaniard is nothing more than the historic scouting or “talent scout” of Arsenal. In Chile he became the key that the national soccer boss was looking for to fulfill his great goal since he took office: to get Rueda.
Because let’s be clear: the still coach of Chile never wanted to go to Colombia or anywhere.
