The man is in shape: Mike Tyson (53) is showing his fittest side these days. There are photos and videos on social media showing the former boxing superstar in training. “Iron Mike” is working for a comeback, they say. Show fights are planned.
–
The pictures show the crazy transformation of the former “Baddest Man on the Planet”: In 2009, the 1.78 m tall, former world heavyweight champion weighed around 170 kilos. Quite a chunk of psychological problems and drug excesses.
–
Now things look different. Tyson is slim and well trained again. He is “in the best shape of my life,” he says. If it weren’t for the white beard and the wrinkles around the eyes, the former champion would actually be under the age of 50.

“He would meet her”
The question arises: How would the man from Brooklyn, who now lives near Las Vegas, fight the current heavyweights?
–
The answers are surprising. “I’m sure that he will knock out any heavyweight today if he prepares for a twelve-round fight,” says Oscar de la Hoya, once world champion in six weight classes.
–
“I guarantee that Mike Tyson will knock out Deontay Wilder within a minute after a six-week training camp,” says Jeff Fenech of “Sporting News”. The dethroned US world champion is not the only current star who is experiencing problems. «Boxing is no longer the same. He would meet her. If these guys were knocked out by Tyson Fury – who is a great fighter but not a tough stick – Mike would kill them. »
–
His current coach Rafael Cordeiro says to ESPN: «He has not done any claw work in the past ten years. That’s why I was surprised when I saw a man who has the same speed and strength as a 21-year-old. »

Probably no showdown
However, there will hardly be a duel with the current heavyweight guard. Even if Tyson was an instinct fighter and may be in top shape physically: the reflexes will hardly be on the same level as before. He noticed this at the end of his career: Tyson lost his last two fights before retiring in 2005. His last World Cup fight was 18 years ago (loss to Lennox Lewis).

Meanwhile, Tyson’s plan sounds feasible: “I want to box three or four round exhibitions to raise money for charity.”
