Defender Miguel Layún, the only Mexican to play in the main leagues in Europe, will assume the quarterfinals of the Mexican Apertura as an important card for the América team, after being a candidate for player of the month in the Liga Mx.
Layún, who wore the Sevilla shirt in Spain; in Italy, Atalanta’s and in the English Premier League, Watford’s, is the side that generated the most opportunities in the regular phase of the championship and one of the keys for América to show the best defense of the tournament.
