Microsoft Releases Australia Update and Fokker F. VII DLC for Flight Simulator – Gaming – News

Microsoft has released the seventh World Update for Flight Simulator. The update takes a closer look at Australia and provides this continent with more detail. Microsoft also releases the Fokker F. VII as a paid expansion.

After the implementation of the Australia update, the Great Barrier Reef can be seen in more detail, among other things. In a trailer shows Microsoft the different areas that have been scrutinized and in the changelog let the development team see a list with the improved locations and airports. There are a total of 94 points of interests that have been modified for detailed display. Furthermore, the update adds sixteen activities, including bush trips and landing exercises.

Four airports have been recreated ‘by hand’ by Orbx Simualtion Systems of Australia. Details of a hundred other airports have been added in higher resolutions, but they have not been built entirely by hand. The World Update is free for owners of Flight Simulator.

Simultaneously with the new World Update, Microsoft is releasing a new plane in the Local Legends series. That’s about the Fokker F. VII in different versions. That aircraft dates from the period 1920 to 1930 and was made by the Dutch Fokker. The paid expansion contains five versions of the aircraft, including a KLM variant. There are also missions in the expansion, which are linked to the aircraft. The bundle costs $15.
