After the statements of Phil Spencer, director of Xbox, Microsoft has decided to definitively reassure the players de Call of Duty that use PlayStation consoles. According to the Redmond firm, the license will remain on PlayStation for many more years.

During the announcement of the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, a huge doubt had been settled about the future of the FPS, and all this, despite the statements of Phil Spencer.
However, the case is not yet concluded as this acquisition must be reviewed by the FTC. In fact, it should not harm the other manufacturers so as not to create what can be called unfair competition.
In consecuense, Brad Smith, President of Microsofthas declared in a new publication available at the official blog that wants to adapt to the regulations and therefore commit to publish Call of Duty “until the end of any existing agreement” already “also make them available on PlayStation beyond the existing agreement“.
To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation for the duration of any existing agreement with Activision. And we’ve made a commitment to Sony that they’ll also be available on PlayStation beyond the existing deal and into the future so that Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love. We also want to take similar steps to support Nintendo’s successful platform. We believe this is the right thing to do for the industry, for players, and for our business.
