Microsoft launches Microsoft Intune Suite to consolidate endpoint protection and management

Tech giant Microsoft has launched for the general public the new tool Microsoft Intune Suite. The objective of this is the consolidation of security solutions and administration of connection points in order to Optimize protection of on-premises and cloud-connected endpoints.

At the enterprise level, Microsoft expects the Intune Suite to establish itself as the single provider for all endpoint security needs and that its customers have unique analyzes instead of disparate data sets. As a result, you can gain more concrete visibility into security vulnerabilities and anomalies.

“Microsoft Intune is an industry-leading unified endpoint management solution that organizations depend on to ensure their devices, operating systems, and apps are up-to-date, protected, and performing,” said Michael Wallent, corporate vice president of Microsoft Intune. administration.

First announced in 2022, Microsoft Intune Suite has a tiered subscription model specific to each customer.

What Microsoft Intune Suite offers

Among its fundamental features, it includes the management of devices connected to the cloud in various operating systems such as Windows, Android, Mac, iOS and Linux. Also Microsoft configuration manager to manage local endpoints such as Windows PCs and servers. And endpoint analytics to help IT admins understand and change the user experience.

It is a new product from the technological giant that, in addition, incorporates remote help for IT help desk teams to diagnose and resolve issues remotely with a user’s desktop and mobile devices, using their existing company identity.

It should be noted that remote help is currently only accessible for Windows users, although the company has announced that it will soon be available for Android and Mac endpoints in future editions.

To improve access, Intune has added Microsoft Tunnel for mobile app management. This helps make it easier to route protected access from personal mobile devices to corporate resources through a micro virtual private network (VPN).

A capability that has also been extended to specialized Intune devices, including AR/VR headsets, portable headsets, conference room meeting devices, and large smart screen devices.

Microsoft has anticipated that, in the medium term, Intune will add Advanced App Management to provide a catalog of enterprise apps and management tools to simplify the discovery, deployment, and automatic updating of applications to alleviate the risks associated with out-of-date applications.

While, by the end of the year, it will have a cloud certificate management solution to issue and manage VPN and Wi-Fi certificates from Intune to devices without on-premises infrastructure.
