Microsoft issued sales warning for the Windows division

Because of the corona virus, the software company Microsoft has issued a sales warning for its Windows division “More personal computing”. The company no longer assumes that the forecast for the division’s revenues will be achieved in the third quarter, the US technology giant announced yesterday (local time) after the market closed.

The reason is that the supply chains returned to normal operations more slowly than expected. Microsoft had originally targeted sales of $ 10.75 billion to $ 11.15 billion. Microsoft initially did not name a new estimate for the division. “More personal computing” includes Windows, Surface, Xbox and Bing. The rest of the outlook remains unchanged.

Apple recently shocked the stock markets with a pessimistic outlook. Due to the corona virus in China, the iPhone manufacturer no longer expects to be able to achieve its sales targets for the current quarter.
