Microsoft is moving away from the Office brand

With the disappearance of the Office brand, which has existed for more than thirty years, previously known programs will be collected under the name of Microsoft 365, writes the hwsw.hu.

Therefore, the Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint apps will be part of Microsoft 365 and not of Office in the future. Branding has been around for a long time – two years ago, the Office 365 subscription passed under the umbrella of Microsoft 365.

In the coming months, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office apps for Windows will receive a new icon, an updated look, and new enhancements.

The changes will be visible for the first time on the web interfaces in November,

followed by the Office applications for Windows, iOS and Android. The Microsoft 365 app combines Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Loop, Clipchamp, Stream and Microsoft’s new Designer services as a central hub, on both mobile and desktop.
