Microsoft has released an autumn update for Windows 10. Eleven is heading for more devices

Windows 10 21H2: what’s new?

This year’s autumn update for Windows 10 brings a total of three new features:

  • Windows Hello support for businesses without the need for a password
  • Support for hardware acceleration in the Linux subsystem (WSL) and Azure IoT Edge for Linux on Windows

In connection with the release of the autumn update, Microsoft also announced how it will be with Windows 10 updates. Newly, “big” updates will not come once every six months, but as with Windows 11, they will be released once a year. The next update of Windows 10 features will not be released until the second half of next year.

Groove Music is coming to an end

There is another new feature in Windows that will first be appreciated by an Insider participant. Microsoft has released a new Media Player application on the Dev channel, which is to become a unified multimedia center for audio and video playback. The application in Windows 11 will replace Groove Music and the old Windows Media Player, although it will remain in the instrument section for some time.

You will be able to upload your music and video library to the Media Player application, you will be able to create playlists in it, there will also be a full-screen mode and a mini player.
