Because of the Corona virus, many company plans have changed, among them Microsoft, which has decided to refocus it on the Windows 10 operating system with its own version of the dual-screen Windows 10x devices, as it plans to make it available for regular single-screen laptop computers.
Microsoft had revealed Windows 10X last October, but a lot has changed since then, and the company says the system was designed to take advantage of the flexibility and power of cloud services, and this is what Windows 10X will provide in laptops.
The company has not reported any time details about when Windows 10X is available, whether for dual-screen computers as planned, or for single-screen notebooks as it is new now.
But what is certain is that Microsoft will initially provide the system on laptops in partnership with computer manufacturers.
It is noteworthy that Microsoft has witnessed a growth in the use of the Windows operating system by about 75% annually, as many users spend more time on their computers and Xbox operating systems in Windows 10. This comes shortly after the announcement of the operating system reaching one billion active users around the world.
Microsoft had designed the new Windows 10X to run on its Surface Neo device, which features two screens. The company worked to simplify the operating system and remove some features and make it with an interface suitable for devices with two screens, especially the Start menu that covers the entire screen.
