Microsoft and Valve are already working on improving the MFS upload process, upload times will not count towards checkouts

Debt Lombardi, vice president Valve on marketing, in interview PCGamer reported that the time taken to download Microsoft Flight Simulator via the launcher will not count towards refund requests in Steam.

Let me remind you that the massive dissatisfaction of the players was caused by the fact that only 532 MB of Microsoft Flight Simulator was downloaded through Steam, and the remaining 127 GB through its own launcher, due to which the time for downloading the game went into the game, and the Valve system automatically rejected requests for refunds, since the allowed limit of 2 hours was exceeded.

Microsoft was heavily criticized for its decision to use its own launcher for download, the game received mixed (mixed) reviews from users. Now, it appears that Valve employees will personally consider return requests in the case of MFS. Lombardi noted that Valve is already working with Microsoft to improve the boot process.
