Michael Sollbauer leaves the WAC »abseits.at

Michael Sollbauer follows Marcel Ritzmaier and Gerhard Struber to FC Barnsley.

After more than nine years and 310 games for our RZ Pellets WAC, our captain says goodbye. He will now slip on the shirt of the English second division club FC Barnsley.

Rise and Europa League
In the 2010/11 season the native St. Veiter from the former SK Austria Kärnten came to us in the Lavanttal. In his first two seasons at the RZ Pellets WAC, he was able to establish himself as a regular force from the start, and thus he played a significant role in the historic promotion to the Bundesliga.
Even in the highest division, our Michi was always a safe backing in the defense and so it was not surprising that he was allowed to lead the team as captain on the field. He also had a large part in the most successful time of our club, which culminated with the 4-0 away win in Gladbach.
We wish our Michi Sollbauer only the best for his sporty and private future!

Test player in Belek
An offensive player travels to training camp with 26-year-old Cheikhou Dieng. The Senegalese played in Austria at SKN Spusu St. Pölten and Wacker Innsbruck.
