SUNSHINE DOUBLE
A few hours after the coronation of the new king and queen of Indian Wells, the circus moves to the other US coast for the combined Miami, the second tranche of the most famous “double” in tennis: the Sunshine Double, the company successful in history only to seven men (Djokovic, Federer, Courier, Chang, Sampras, Rios and Agassi) and three women (Graff, Clijsters and Azarenka). And so after having trained their eyes with the spectacle of the prestigious Californian event, SuperTennis fans are called to another full immersion with stars and stripes.
The WTA 1000 in Miami, live and exclusively until the last 15 (the final is scheduled for Saturday 2 April), sees all the stars of the women’s circuit engaged except for world number 1 Ash Barty. To defend the blue colors there will be Camila Giorgi, returning after almost three weeks off, and Jasmine Paolini who is back in action after the Californian exploit.
The clear window on the men remains open also for the second ATP Masters 1000 of the season: every day we will choose the best match of the day just ended and we will broadcast it deferred at 9 am and 2 pm; a window that, of course, will open first on the fields of the many blues at the start (in the entry list there are 5, starting with Matteo Berrettini and Jannnk Sinner on the hunt for redemption after the bittersweet performances of Indian Wells).
