Among the states with the lowest availability are Nuevo León with only 39% available, while Colima has 41%, Yucatán 50%, Baja California, Mexico City, Tlaxcala and San Luis Potosí with an availability of 57%.
Covid-19 vaccine in Mexico
In his Sunday message the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador He pointed out that, if the health authorities endorse the vaccine to deal with Covid, in which Mexico and Argentina participate, it could be ready in the first quarter of next year, so he asked Mexicans to have confidence that with this vaccine this nightmare will end.
“It is thought that we will be able to use this vaccine in the first quarter of next year, with a national vaccination plan, it will be universal, available to everyone, this will be decided by the Ministry of Health (Ssa).”
From his office in the National Palace, the president recalled that it will be the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) that endorses this vaccine, which is expected to cost four dollars (around eighty pesos), but will be free and universal.
“That is why we have already signed an agreement, Argentina, Mexico, the University of Oxford, Astra and the Carlos Slim Foundation, the purpose is that results are already obtained, phase three of experimentation is finished by the beginning of November, the results, Cofepris, which is the Mexican institution in charge of evaluating the quality of medicines and vaccines, will tell us if the vaccine is good, and will immediately begin the manufacturing process, it will be this vaccine in Argentina and in Mexico, it will be produced in our country, ”he said.
