MEXICO CITY.- The Mexican peso is working down this Friday session, marking its worst level since May 2019 thanks to the latent concern about the coronavirus in China.
The currency stood at 18.8595 pesos per dollar, with a difference of 3.25 cents compared to 18.8270 pesos on Thursday.
It should be noted that hours before, the Mexican currency reached 19,0850 pesos per dollar, being its lowest level since December 2019.
The coronavirus outbreak in China has infected more than 75,400 people and caused the death of two thousand 236, the majority at the epicenter of the epidemic, Wuhan.
On the other hand, the Mexican stock market is lively on Friday, thanks to the rise in Televisa shares.
The television station increased by 3.87%, just when it reported on Thursday an increase in its net profit in the last quarter of 2019.
The benchmark S & P / BMV IPC stock index works at 44,771.24 points.
