A little Mexican-American girl cries because she is not a person China. The video was uploaded by the elrealtorjose account and viral di TikTok to reach 7.1 million views.
“Any other toddlers trying to be Chinese?! 😂,” the father wrote in the video description.
“Our daughters attend a trilingual school that is fully immersed in Mandarin as one of the languages spoken, along with English and Spanish. With the recent Chinese New Year celebrations, I think she came home feeling a little left out ,” he continued.
In the video, the child reveals the simple reason he wants to become Chinese. The reason is ‘because I want to’.
Even when asked if he could speak Mandarin, the child said ‘xishou’ which means ‘wash your hands’ in Indonesian.
