Metallica perform “Lux Æterna” live for the first time during their benefit concert

Metallica has turned the crank again after the announcement of his new album ’72 Seasons’ and a future tour that will pass through Madrid in 2024. Well, to all this we must add the new single “Lux Æterna” which was released a few weeks ago and which saw the light for the first time on December 16th.

It was all in his third ‘All Within My Hands’ benefit concert, this time held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The band played a concert where, according to setlist.fm, the song came towards the end of the second set.

So James Hetfield, leader of Metallica, presented the new song: “We were preparing everything… the beginnings were in the same COVID-19 room. It will be out very soon. We are super excited about this, and thought this was such a special concert that we would play “Lux Æterna”, which is the first single. We’ll be playing it for the first time here live.”

You can imagine people’s reaction when they heard that they would be the first to enjoy this new single from the band, which was also very well received by the public because remember the great milestones of Metallica. One attendee compared the show the band gave to the concert they gave on Nov. 6 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, where the late Jon and Marsha Zazula, great friends of the band were remembered.

After opening our mouths with this moment, we can only wait for the year 2024 where they have two dates in Madrid, but you can only access with a single subscription. There will be two different lineups where it will not be possible to buy a ticket for a single day, it will be a double subscription.
