KOMPAS.com – Four days in Indonesia, world football star Mesut Ozil want to visit Bali and the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta.
“The first goal, I want to go to the Istiqlal Mosque, and secondly I will visit Bali for a vacation with my family,” Ozil said when asked about the destination he wanted to visit, at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday (25/5/2022).
The former Real Madrid player did not explain exactly when he would visit the Istiqlal Mosque.
However, according to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno, Ozil will perform Friday prayers at the largest mosque in Southeast Asia.
“So the Istiqlal Mosque, which has become worldwide, is part of our religious tourism. For Friday prayers, he plans to hold it at the Istiqlal Mosque,” said Sandiaga.
Ozil wants to play at Bali United
In the press conference, Ozil also expressed his desire to play at the Bali United club, if one day he gets the opportunity to have a career in Indonesia.
He admitted that he really liked the good weather of the island of Bali, plus the stunning natural panorama.
“It’s easy, the weather (Bali) is good and the island is amazing,” said the Fenerbahce midfielder.
The arrival of Mesut Ozil to Jakarta this time (25/05/2022) is in the context of his collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) for the promotion of the creative economy product, Concave Indonesia.
He is also planned to come directly to the Concave Indonesia factory in Cikupa, Tangerang, Banten.
