In December last year, Apple TV+ gave us a first look at the upcoming documentary with the teaser for “Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend”. The official trailer is now available, giving you a further insight into Messi’s participation in the 2022 World Cup.

Apple TV+ today released the official trailer for Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend, the highly anticipated four-part documentary that follows eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi through his sensational career, five FIFA World Cup appearances and World Cup and his victory at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In his own words, Messi tells the definitive story of his incredible career with the Argentina national football team, offering an intimate and unprecedented insight into his pursuit of a World Cup victory that will shape his legacy.

Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend explores the exciting story of one of the world’s greatest living athletes, as well as that of his loyal followers across Argentina and those who have made the pilgrimage around the globe. The series also features the most personal interviews with Messi to date, as well as conversations with teammates, coaches, competitors, devout fans and commentators. The documentary traces the dramatic journey from his first game with the Argentina national football team, to carrying a country’s burden in multiple World Cups, to his early retirement in 2016 and finally the comeback and winning the FIFA World Cup in 2022 as well the title of “Player of the Tournament”.
The worldwide premiere of the documentary is scheduled for February 21, 2024. In addition, another Lionel Messi documentary started on Apple TV+ a few weeks ago.
