Messi Already, Now It’s Pjanic’s Turn

Barcelona

Barcelona finally officially parted with Lionel Messi. The problem is not over, Barca have to sell some players to complete the squad, one of them Miralem Pjanic.

Barcelona and Lionel Messi actually parted ways last Sunday (8/8). The club held a special farewell ceremony which was also attended by the club’s top brass and the players.

Reported from Brand, Barcelona was not able to give a new contract to Lionel Messi. Barcelona are still tight financially and are still having problems with the cost of paying player salaries.

The Spanish League Authority has imposed a limit of 382.717 million Euros (equivalent to Rp. 5.5 trillion) for the payment of salaries for Barca players for the 2020/2021 season.

The Spanish League wants the finances of clubs to be healthy in the midst of a pandemic, in which the cost of income must be greater than the cost of expenses (including payment of player salaries).

Barcelona has many players who are on the selling list but unfortunately there are no fans. However, there is one that seems to have met a bright spot, namely Miralem Pjanic.

Miralem Pjanic is not included in the plans of coach Ronald Koeman. The Bosnian central midfielder only played 19 times in the Spanish League last season, and that too only started six times.

Well, Barcelona is offering Pjanic to Juventus, the club first. Because the former coach Massimiliano Allegri who fits Pjanic’s style of play is back again.

Barcelona interested in selling Miralem Pjanic to Juventus. Or at least, it’s okay to borrow it in order to reduce the cost of paying salaries.

Pjanic’s salary at Barca is 343 thousand Euros per week or Rp. 5.3 billion. If you loan him to Juventus, Barca can save 50 percent of your salary Miralem Pjanic because the rest is borne by Juventus.

Barca are now in the process of negotiating, before the summer transfer window closes on August 31. On the other hand, unfortunately bad news got out, if the Juve club wanted to save money by not bringing in players.
