Facebook has announced that they are looking into making Messenger part of the Facebook app again. The news tool was transferred to its own app nine years ago.
Facebook users wishing back to the good old days when Messenger was still part of the Facebook app have hope. Apparently Facebook is testing the possibility of bringing Messenger back into the app after the messaging tool was transferred to its own app nine years ago. This is on “Engadget” to readthe platform made the announcement in a blog post discovered on Facebook.
When Messenger was hived off in 2014, Facebook’s goal was to make Messenger the leading mobile messaging platform. However, the majority of users could never really get used to the fact that a separate app has to be used for Facebook messages.
As Facebook explains, they want to expand the tests with Messenger integration into the Facebook app soon. In addition, they want to develop further options for the integration of messaging features in Facebook in the future – but without indicating a direction. (mw)
