Message from Ali Erbaş, President of Religious Affairs, Friday

Religious Head of Affairs Dr. Ali Erbaş published Friday In his message, “First of all, the peace, mercy, abundance, help, grace and mercy of Allah be upon you. Of course, we are sorry that we could not meet in our mosques on Friday, which is a blessed time. At the moment, every believer feels the sadness of my brother, understand the bitterness in his heart, and become a partner in the prayer in his tongue. May our Almighty Lord help us to meet in our mosques with enthusiasm and enthusiasm as soon as possible.

As you all know, new worldwide corona The virus epidemic is spreading rapidly and unfortunately our country is under the threat of virus. Considering this fact, our state takes important precautions and decisions, and all our institutions and organizations try to fulfill their duties with a great sense of responsibility and diligence in order to protect the health of our people.

In this context, we, as the Presidency of Religious Affairs, have taken some measures in line with the fatwa of our Religious Affairs High Council, taking into account the speed of the epidemic and the level of threats to human health. As of March 16, 2020, until the threat of viruses ended, we stopped taking prayers with the congregation in mosques and shared this decision with our nation. We expressed that it is a humanitarian and conscientious responsibility to comply with this decision to protect the health of our citizens, especially to ensure the safety of life of our elderly and to prevent possible harm. The support of our commonsense pleases us. One of the basic principles of Islam, which aims at the society to live in peace and security, is to protect human life. In accordance with this principle, it is considered one of the great sins in our religion to behave in a way that will cause human life. Every person has a right not to endanger the health of other people as well as the right to protect mental and physical health. For this reason, it is the duty of every Muslim to take care of personal and environmental cleanliness, to eat healthy, to adjust the sleep and worship order in a balanced way.

As a matter of fact, in the words of our beloved Prophet, health is one of the greatest blessings, and unfortunately most people are deceived without knowing the value of it. However, our mind and body, which are the values that are entrusted to man by our Lord, deserve to be protected and used in the way of good. Our supreme religion also asked Muslims to seek healing and to cure diseases. Taking necessary protective and preventive measures against infectious diseases was also ordered by our Prophet in this context. Prophet said, ‘If you hear that there is a plague in one place, do not enter there, and do not leave there even if the plague occurs.’ The Prophet taught quarantine practice to his community centuries ago. It is also our supreme Prophet who emphasizes to be cautious against the epidemic by commanding that ‘the person who carries the disease should not go to the right person’. The fact that he does not benefit from a person with an infectious disease and send it back clearly shows our Prophet’s determination to protect public health. According to the competent authorities, the places where people are gathered form a suitable ground for the corona virus to become an epidemic. A drug against this virus has not yet been developed. In the face of this serious picture, what each of us should do now is to implement the three basic principles of posture in the face of misfortunes.

These principles are precaution, trust and prayer. First of all, we are obliged not to leave the precaution by strictly following the warnings of the competent authorities and the Ministry of Health.

God forbid it is not a Muslim attitude to endanger other people’s health because of our carelessness and carelessness. ‘Nothing happens to me. Whatever happens to me in my destiny, my attitude, which leaves the measure and does not take responsibility against the test, does not suit the believer.

Because the issue is social beyond being individual, and it is our duty to be more sensitive to our elderly, to our brothers with chronic diseases. Because the believer takes all the precautions he can, acts smartly and responsibly, protects himself and his loved ones from dangers by respecting the right of the servant.

In the words of the Prophet, ‘Muslim is someone whom other Muslims are safe from and in their hands.’ As the Presidency of Religious Affairs, in accordance with this precautionary principle, we wanted to interrupt worship and Friday prayers in our mosques.

We made such a decision in accordance with the prophet’s clear statements and practices regarding the epidemic disease, the way of the Companions and Muslims throughout the history of Islam. Failure to comply with these decisions taken due to an epidemic that threatens the whole society and humanity is a serious mistake that will endanger public health, a major violation and a violation of the right to use.

Therefore, it is a religious requirement to comply with these decisions; To insist on prayer with Friday and the congregation is an atrocious attitude. The second principle of a possible attitude in the face of misfortunes is submission to trust and divine will. While we take our precautions on the one hand, we must give consent to the other. We must approach the event with faith and sectarian, not rebellion and overflow.

It is a fact that our world and all humanity have serious problems and problems today. The earth seems to be surrounded by global issues. Of course, it is an exemplary situation that an invisibly small virus is turning life around the world, and humanity’s vulnerability to this sudden change. Therefore, we must rely on him and trust him and ask for help without losing our belief in the unique power, knowledge and wisdom of Allah Almighty. “

“As a Muslim in this painful process we live in, we need to embrace the value of trust, one of our most important values,” said Erbaş.

“Trust is to rely on him, to leave it beyond him and to give him infinite confidence in this matter, without remembering that he is with us, after resorting to all the material and spiritual reasons necessary to achieve the goal and nothing else to do. It gives people strength and power.

The attitude we need to take both in terms of the results that we do not want to encounter or in the results we want to achieve; Say, ‘Only things that Allah has written for us can happen to us. He is our assistant. The attitude is marked with the verse “So, believers, only trust in Allah”.

In summary, we are basically weak beings despite all the possibilities and abilities we have. Situations such as pessimism, fear and anxiety are among the most obvious indicators of our weak nature. But a sense of trust rather than anxiety or fear will make life livable. For this reason, we must embrace the value of trust, which Allah Almighty offers us in this matter. As with every subject, we should listen to our guide, our Prophet (p.) In this regard. As a matter of fact, he said, ‘The believer has an interesting state that is not found in anyone else. All his work is good. If he gets a width, blessing, he will be thankful and it will be a good thing for him.

If he suffers from a stricture, he will be patient and this will be a good for him. Therefore, we should interpret every issue we face with believers’ sacrifice and trust, and ensure that the balance of patience and thankfulness remains in balance. On the other hand, we cannot think of any incident that we experience regardless of factors and results from the ‘test of the earth’, which is one of our reasons for existence. Because this world is a test place. Capital, which we call life, is the time period that we call life, in fact, the time given to us for testing. Therefore, all kinds of troubles, difficulties, pain, deprivations, troubles and misfortunes that are confronted with people are part of the test. Our Almighty book states that the ones who believe in the Qur’an will definitely be tested. Did people think that they would be saved only by saying ‘we believed’ without being tested? Let us say that we have also tested those before them ‘verse tells us this truth. news It serves. In another verse, our Lord states: ‘We will try you out with a little fear and hunger, and we will decrease the goods, souls and products. Good news for those who are patient. When they come to a calamity, they say, ‘We are undoubtedly (with everything) to Allah, and we will certainly return to him.’ This epidemic is undoubtedly one of the hard trials of human history. In the face of divine trial, our duty should be to try to win the test. Anyway, what is important in Allah Almighty is the strong attitude of believers when faced with the test. The feet of this sound attitude are precaution, trust, and prayer.

Our Prophet (pbuh) describes such a strong stance as follows: ‘Believer is like a fresh crop. Whichever side the wind blows, it lays it on that side. When the wind calms down, it is straightened again. Here is the believer; He bends but does not collapse due to trouble and misfortunes. ‘ We know that births, deaths, natural events, disasters and misfortunes occur briefly with the permission and will of Allah Almighty. Despite all the precautions, human beings may be exposed to misfortune. Therefore, we must firstly approach the events we encounter in a calm and steadfast manner and focus on how to overcome difficulties.

We should know that this is a test of temporary world life, we should not lose our hope and resistance. ‘Is there any defect or error caused by us?’ We should think, and we should pull ourselves to accounting. For, Allah Almighty tells us that sometimes people have defects in the occurrence of misfortunes. He reminds us of this issue in the Qur’an as follows;

‘Any misfortune that has happened to you is because of the work done by your own hands. Allah forgives most of what you do (which is why it does not give you trouble). At this point, I should point out that, in the problems we face globally, the weaknesses, passions and neglect of responsibility of humanity have an important role.

For example, as a global environmental problem, the issues such as pollution of air, water, soil, and damage of the atmosphere are big events that concern all humanity. Therefore, the negative picture mentioned is essentially a result of human error. This reveals that it is essential to revise the relationship between human and environment in the context of trust, good morals and righteous deeds. Otherwise, it is inevitable that the environmental crises, global troubles, and the world we live in will drag the world we live in to total chaos and turmoil. Therefore, without ignoring the existence of a test dimension in everything that happens to a person, evaluating the events within the framework of self-criticism and exquisite accounting will open the way for us to build a safer and better future. The third principle that every believer should never forget while breastfeeding is prayer.

Prayer is the strongest basis, the greatest shelter, and the most effective cure of the believer. Because, we need more than ever, asylum and asylum for our Lord in order to eliminate mental, heart and physical fatigue, distress and helplessness. To ensure this, our most special and fertile assistant is undoubtedly our prayer. We are beings who need to pray to Him as much as we need Allah. Our Lord values our prayer and is stated in the Qur’an as follows:

Say: What should Allah value you if you do not have servanthood and niece. ‘ So, my dear brothers, let’s pray more than ever before, read the Qur’an, recite and praise, and wish forgiveness from our Lord by repentance and desire for our mistakes. Let us listen to the holy advice of our Prophet: ‘If any of you have a door of prayer opened, the doors of mercy for him have been opened. If something is to be asked from Allah, nothing better than appetite can be asked.

Prayer benefits against troubles that have come to light and have not yet been experienced. O servants of Allah, hug the prayer. ‘ At the end of my words, I would like to express once again that as a nation, we have overcome many difficulties with the spirit of unity and solidarity, alhamdulillah. I hope we will overcome the virus epidemic that we are currently struggling with patience, coolness and common sense.

While we appreciate consent with trust, we will also comply with all decisions and measures taken. We will pray and repent more and strengthen our spirituality with dhikr and contemplation. We will be sensitive and understanding to each other. We will stay away from fitna, unfounded and fearful news. We will trust our Prophet, who promised humanity by saying, ‘Allah has definitely healed every disease he has sent down’. May our Supreme Lord allow us to treat us all with wisdom, wisdom and wisdom. Let our difficulties make it easy. May the sirs be good for you. May our patients receive urgent healing. May our brotherhood be permanent and strong. In this process, help our brothers, who serve our nation, day and night, especially our health officials. I want to conclude my words with the following lines of the Highness of Erzurum’s İbrahim Hakkı. ‘The good ones are good. Don’t think that things are unofficial. Arif watches the moment. Mevla let’s see what. Whatever they do is beautiful. ”
