The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 × 6 remains one of the most powerful and “ignorant” off-road vehicles ever. It is a very special car that meets the needs of a small number of users. After all, it is enough to observe it to immediately understand the character of this beast 587 cm long and with a weight of 3.85 tons.

For this reason the production was rather limited. Indeed, Mercedes introduced the flagship variant of the G-Class in 2013 leaving it in production for two years and building only 100 units. One of these (used) specimens is currently on sale in Germany, on the specialized site Pistonheads, to the modification figure of 872,000 euros. The G63 Amg 6 × 6 in question was auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s in Abu Dhabi in November 2019 and the specimen was sold for $ 748,750. At the time it showed less than 225 km on the odometer. The announcement of Piston Heads reveals that the car was delivered in Kuwait at the end of April 2015 to its only registered owner, who kept it in his collection for five years, covering only a handful of kilometers.

Power and opulence

The body color is the Sanidine Beige Metallic, a color on brownish tending to gray, which goes perfectly with the deserts of Kuwait. The exterior also sports several carbon fiber parts and black rims with red details. The interior is in two-tone black and brown leather, including luxurious quilted seats, electronically adjustable, heated and ventilated. To push it we find the well-known 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that delivers 544 horsepower and 758 Nm of torque. Torque is transferred to all six wheels with the help of the 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.
