Every man infected with the coronavirus and cured is urged to donate plasma to the Red Cross. That plasma is needed for two national studies to determine whether the antibodies in it can be useful in the treatment of Covid-19. “There is a good chance that we can develop a treatment on the basis of that plasma that cures patients or at least relieves the symptoms and prevents admission to intensive care,” says Geert Meyfroidt of UZ Leuven.
