Meghan Markle’s alleged foray into American politics could leave Prince Harry a “stay-at-home husband” in Los Angeles, a royal expert has claimed according to Express UK.
The comments were made by pundit Neil Sean on his YouTube channel as reports of the Duchess of Sussex vying for a US presidential bid in 2024 continue to gain steam.
Meghan reportedly even called US Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Susan Collins to discuss issues related to paternity leave and US climate policy.
Speaking about Meghan’s interest in politics, Sean said: “As we’ve found out, Meghan Markle says she will definitely go to Washington to support causes that are close to her heart.”
“While she has previously said that she does not demand or require a political career, it seems more and more that Meghan is shining in the spotlight and moving forward on a totally different track,” he added.
Sean then commented: “Prince Harry, the real royal, seems to be taking a step back and becoming a kind of househusband.”
Another royal expert also spoke about Meghan’s political ambitions, warning the Duchess that she faces “immense sacrifices” if she is seriously considering running for the US presidential office in 2024.
The warning came from royal expert Daniela Elser who, writing for news.com.au, said the Duchess of Sussex may not only have to give up her royal title but many other things if she wants to be in the White House. .
Elser explained: “Obviously they would have to give up their Sussex titles entirely. The mother of two might as well say goodbye to the privacy she and Harry have carved out for themselves in their adopted hometown of Montecito.”
