The Cuban actor José Bernardo Blanco Silva died in Havana this Saturday, April 27, as is known, of natural causes at the age of 76.

Better known only as José Blanco, he was a prominent actor in soap operas presented on Cuban television from the late 70s until the early 1990s, although in most of his participations in supporting roles.

The news of his death was announced through social networks, where several publications mourned his death and recalled his participation in novels, series, and comedy shows.

The truth is that the actor also stood out in spaces outside the small screen, such as live stories and plays, for which he is also remembered.

“He participated in adventures, soap operas, various series and even humorous ones like Behind the Facade,” said Josip Serrano Rodríguez when publishing his condolences in the Facebook group Unforgettable Cuban Actors.

For her part, Iris Hernández Pérez, who identified herself as her nephew’s wife, pointed out that Blanco lived in the Santos Suárez neighborhood, Diez de Octubre municipality, and detailed that the actor suffered health complications a few months ago, of which he no longer he recovered.

“In February he had a stroke and then little by little he faded away,” he said.
