The Duchess of Sussex decided to bring up the topic of maternity leave.

At the beginning of summer Megan Markle and Prince Harry became parents for the second time. Immediately the baby’s birth field Lilibet Diana the Dukes of Sussex announced that they had gone on maternity leave for five months. Some Americans then accused the couple of breaking the law, because in America, the time that is given to newly-made parents to care for a child is much less.
This week, Meghan Markle decided to bring the topic of maternity leave to a high level. She sent a personal letter to two politicians – Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Sumer. In circulation Duchess of Sussex called for citizens to have access to paid family leave.
Royal writer Robert Jobson claims that the Queen was aware of Meghan’s “political views and ambitions” that could “embarrass” the royal family.
“This is what the queen was afraid of, because now she can say whatever she likes,” the expert quotes Express.
