Since its creation in 2008, Mediapart has established itself as a pillar of investigative journalism in France. To celebrate this 15th anniversary, Médiapart organized a tour in 15 cities this year. Le Média is coming to Villeurbanne and more precisely to Rayon this Saturday.

The editorial team has put together a day rich in debates and exchanges, bringing together local talents from Media et Rue89Lyon. This stop in Villeurbanne promises to be a privileged moment of dialogue between journalists and the public. It offers a unique opportunity to explore current events from different facets, while shedding light behind the scenes of the journalistic profession.
An eclectic program
Kick-off will be at 2 p.m. Cécile Deaf, the general director of Mediapart. It will introduce a series of panels focused on various current and thought-provoking topics:
At 2:15 p.m., place at local investigative journalism with the teams from Mediacités Lyon and Rue89 Lyon. A moment to discover how local information is processed with rigor and insight. At 3 p.m., the session will look at new forms of information dissemination. Ana Ferrer, Eastern policy et Bérénice Gabriel will discuss the intersection between traditional reporting and streaming on Twitch, an increasingly popular platform for political debate. At 4 p.m., the focus will be on politics with a discussion around the rooting of the far right in France, and the crucial question: what is the left doing? An exchange hosted by Youmni Kezzouf et Matthew Dejean. Finally, at 5 p.m., the debate will address an essential theme: how to give a voice to those who are often marginalized or ignored? Livia Garrigue et Faïza Zerouala will share their experiences and visions on this subject.
