Libreville, October 6, 2023 (AGP) – Appointed during the Council of Transition Ministers on September 28, Jean Robert El Mut Moutchinga Boulingui and Claudette Okome Ewore, respectively general directors of Gabon Première and Radio Gabon, officially took up their positions , this Friday, in the presence of the Minister of Communication, Laurence Ndong, who also chaired the ceremony.
Recently appointed to the head of these two entities under the supervision of the Ministry of Communication, the newly promoted are continuing the projects started by their predecessors, while giving the best of them.
Applauded by the professionals of Maison Georges Rawiri, as a sign of recognition for the work accomplished during his time at Radio Gabon, El Mut Moutchinga Boulingui, general director of Gabon premiere, replacing Ali Reynald Radjoumba, thanked the supervision for the choice made on his person, as well as his collaborators. Without forgetting to remind everyone of their upcoming challenges.
“How can we make Gabon first, the strategic lever for value creation? At the center of this main original and contextual mission, we see the imperatives of professionalism with a view to strengthening the visibility of the first Gabonese television. This is why the question of improving the existing situation is more than worrying. Therefore, it is important to call out the need to combine or revisit all managerial strategies,” he said.
The outgoing director general, Ali Reynald Radjoumba, recalled his action at the head of public television, since taking office in 2000. A stint which had the objective, he explained, of “modernizing Gabon first. After three years at the head of this institution, I come to say that it is for me a privilege to have served this house.
The new director general of Radio Gabon, Claudette Ekome Ewore, who succeeds El Mut Moutchinga Boulingui, said: “It is with immense joy, a spirit of humility and a patriotic feeling that I take charge from Radio Gabon during this particular period. I measure with serenity the responsibility that falls to me for the general management of this institution. I assure you that the work will be accomplished in order, respect and discipline for better support of the transition,” she insisted.
In his speech, the Minister of Communication Laurence Ndong congratulated the leavers for the quality of the work carried out. Likewise, the member of the transitional government encouraged the new directors general for the responsibilities entrusted to them. Recalling “that they are equipped with all the assets to continue the missions which were started by the outgoing directors general”.
The new bosses will be judged against the wall like their predecessors after their time in these entities.
The official ceremony which saw the participation of many media professionals and general directors of other entities ended with the presentation of some souvenirs to the outgoing general director Ali Reynald Radjoumba on behalf of the staff of Gabon first.
