McLaren F1 team principal Andreas Seidl will become Sauber’s new CEO in January.
Frédéric Vasseur, current team principal of Alfa Romeo F1 and chief executive officer of Sauber, will become team principal and general manager of Ferrari from 9 January 2023, succeeding Mattia Binotto.
Andreas Seidl will return to the team after several years as head of trackside operations at Sauber. After winning several World Endurance Championship titles as a Porsche team principal, he joined McLaren in 2019 as a team principal.
Sauber will become Audi’s works team from 2026. Andreas Seidl will proceed with the selection of a new F1 team principal as CEO of Sauber.
