McDonald’s customers found a flaw to order for free

FOOD – Ronald McDonald feasts, for free. Many Internet users reported a flaw in the McDonald’s mobile app on social media on Saturday, February 8, allowing customers to order without paying the bill.

According to several videos posted on Twitter, the bug would occur during “Click and Collect” orders, that is to say orders placed online and to be picked up on the Golden menus.

In some fast food restaurants, some have been able to order several menus … for nothing, as shown by at least one sales receipt published by a user.

This is not the first time that flaws have allowed customers to consume for free.

On February 4, the Vice site reported the story of two German hackers, who had taken advantage of a flaw in coupons given as a reward for a satisfaction survey to hack the system and order menus for free via the application. The flaw, reported to McDonald’s in November, was corrected in mid-December, reports Vice.

Asked by BFMTV, McDonald’s France did not react after the bugs reported this weekend. So it’s impossible to know for the moment if the two cases are linked, if the flaw has since been corrected as reported, disappointed, some Internet users, nor how many stores in France were actually affected.
