In a major traffic accident in the Achterhoek, one was killed and two seriously injured. Two cars collided around 11.50 pm on Hekweg (N315) near the village of Geesteren (Berkelland municipality).
The killed passenger was in a car that caught fire after the accident. The two seriously injured were taken to the hospital. A trauma helicopter had also flown to the location.
Nothing is yet known about the causes of the accident on the dual carriageway. The police started an investigation.
