Mayor Vandeput believes in a safe course of Pukkelpop thanks to “vaccinations and watertight checks”

The infection rates in our country are increasing every day. Nevertheless, Mayor Vandeput is reassured that the Pukkelpop festival can be done safely. And will continue. “But in the end we have to settle for what the Consultation Committee decides,” says Vandeput in “The morning” on Radio 1.

“We must continue to focus on maximum vaccination. And that we gradually make it clear to the population that the vaccine also works. How do I wish that I motivate everyone at the local level to be fully vaccinated if they cannot then go back to normal life? I understand those who say that a corona test is not watertight. I do not believe that either. The only answer lies with maximum vaccination.”
