Mayor of Vega Baja demands that it be included in the list of municipalities in emergency

The mayor of Vega Baja, Marcos Cruz Molina, reported on Wednesday that after rigorous inspections, it was certified that several family structures suffered considerable damage after the various seismic events at the beginning of the year.

“We have been very rigorous in the process and we are certifying that at the moment we have 95 structures with minor damages and 22 with major damages,” explained the first municipal executive in written communication.

“This information has already been submitted to the Bureau of Emergency Management and Disaster Management (NMEAD), under the Initial Damage Assessment (PRIDA) and our interest is that these cases can be treated due to the damage that has been evidenced,” he added. Mayor.
