Wittek moved from SpVgg Greuther Fürth to the Dutch Eredivisie in 2020 and had already played under the current VfL coach Thomas Letsch in Arnhem. Before his time in Fürth, Wittek was also active at TSV 1860 Munich. The outside player was also trained there. According to sports director Patrick Fabian, he should be used as a “track player” in Bochum.
