Heavy Rains and Landslides Hit Bardonecchia: 5 People Missing and 120 Evacuated

The northern Italian town of Bardonecchia, near Turin, has been hit by heavy rains and landslides as five people are missing.

Rescuers are trying to find them after the storm that happened late last night. Serious damage was caused in the city, and about 120 people were evacuated. Several cars were swept away by landslides.

As a result of the rains and landslides in the town in the Piedmont region, a stream has burst its banks. The fire service reported this morning about serious damage in the city center, not far from the border with France, BTA reported.
