“Maverick Vinales’ Tragic End in the 2023 Spanish MotoGP Race: Chain Breaks on Final Lap”

Maverick Vinales did not finish the 2023 Spanish MotoGP race. The Aprilia racer actually went smoothly lap after lap, only had to swallow the bitter pill when the race left the last lap.

In the race at the Jerez Circuit, Spain, Sunday (30/4/2023), Maverick Vinales, who started from 9th position, could not penetrate the top 5 throughout the race. The former Suzuki and Yamaha racer competed for positions 8, 9 and 10.

Vinales, who rode the Aprilia RS-GP, fought with Dani Pedrosa and Alex Marquez. The climax was after the motorbike had traveled 23 laps, Vinales experienced the tragedy that the motorbike chain broke.

Vinales felt that moment during the last lap. He who was entering a corner suddenly his motorbike roared because the distribution of engine power to the rear wheels was lost. Vinales immediately looked down and saw the chain had broken off from the gear set.

Vinales was also disappointed. Moreover, Jerez is home to the Spanish racer, he was runner up in 2020. He expressed his disappointment with the results of the Spanish MotoGP 2023 on his personal Instagram account @maverick12official.

“It’s a shame we couldn’t finish the race but tomorrow we can take one more step in the test,” he wrote as seen detikcom, Sunday (30/4/2023).

He failed to finish the race. His status came home without points just like Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Marco Bezzecchi and Johann Zarco who had crashes.
