16 apartments and 13 vehicles were gutted in Ajman
When a residential building caught fire in Ajman
Dubai: UAE Recent figures from the Ministry of Home Affairs reveal that fires in residential buildings in India are on the rise.
Last year, the U.A.E. Civil Defense teams have responded to more than 3000 fire incidents. Of these, 2169 were residential fires. 1968 incidents were also reported in 2020.
Most of the fires took place in residential buildings. Last year there were 396 fires in Ajman alone.
Massive damage was also recorded. Last Friday, 16 apartments and 13 vehicles were gutted in a fire in Ajman Al Nuaimiyya area. The accident happened in a fifteen-storey residential building.
Ajman Civil Defense Colonel Aylan Al Shamsi said that the fire was brought under control with the help of Ajman firemen and teams from Sharjah and Umm al-Khwain.
No casualties or injuries were reported. The police have started an investigation into the incident. The authorities have warned that people should be very careful in case of accidents due to fire during hot summer.
