Maryam Blumenthal Running for Re-Election as Hamburg Green Party Leader

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Hamburg’s Green Party leader Maryam Blumenthal is running for another term as party leader. The 37-year-old wrote on Saturday on the social network Facebook that she wanted to continue. “Continue to use the full diversity – in terms of personnel and content – of our party and the city together with you all as state chairmen and use them for a more just society.” Born in Iran, member of parliament, teacher and mother of three children, she has been chairwoman of the Hamburg Greens since 2021. A state members’ meeting wants to re-elect the state board on June 24 in the Wilhelmsburg community center.
