Werder Bremen succeeds in transfer coup! Second division goalscorer comes from the competition

Bremen – The tug of war is over! Of the SV Werder Bremen has now secured the services of striker Marvin Ducksch (27).

The green-whites announced on Wednesday. The attacker comes from second division competitor Hannover 96 to the Weser and receives a three-year contract at Osterdeich.
Both clubs officially agreed not to disclose the transfer fee, but loudly “kicker“It should amount to a whopping 3.5 million euros. A lot of money for a striker whose contract would have expired next summer and who would not have been extended apparently accordingly.
So Ducksch could finally be released. The goalgetter said on the SVW-Website: “I’m very happy to finally be here. Werder is a club with a long tradition – I didn’t hesitate long when the call came. I’m sure that we can achieve a lot together.”

With the change, there is also a lot of hope for better times in Bremen. After all, the 1.88-meter-tall attacker has been delivering very good odds for years. In total, he netted 50 times in 109 second division games and put on 24 more hits directly. He is one of the best players in the 2nd Bundesliga and knows them inside out.
For Hanover, he had 33 stalls and 15 assists in 70 missions in the past two years. Things went even better for him at Holstein Kiel, where he played the strongest season of his career so far and was the top scorer under the current Werder coach Markus Anfang (47).
In the 2017/18 season he shot the storks with 18 hits and eleven assists in 33 matches in the relegation, but where Kiel failed at VfL Wolfsburg.

Many supporters can still understand their club’s decision. One user wrote: “You did exactly the right thing, Duckschi didn’t want to renew and would be free of charge next year.” Now you get a lot of money and can get a new actor.
Somewhat surprisingly, many see the attacker as a chance death. It is true that he misses some opportunities, even in the season that has just started, but he only develops many of these opportunities through his sense of space and his ability to anticipate.
Even if – as with every striker in the world – more goals would have been possible: Ducksch’s statistics speak for him.
