Marvel Studios: This Captain America Change Is Not Coming To The Fans At All

Starting tomorrow, Marvel Studios fans will be able to experience the first episode of series What If…? on Disney +, whose events are all part of the MCU’s multiverse. Among the many alternative scenarios explored by the show, there are the transformation of Peggy Carter into Captain Britain, which replaces that of Steve Rogers in Captain America. On the occasion of the release of What If…?, Marvel has decided to honor the heroine via Twitter account dedicated to the American soldier. A promotional gesture that has not at all pleased the supporters of Sam Wilson, the new Captain America since the broadcast of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

We can thus read tweets like “Bring back the Sam Wilson account!” or “Why did they post her on Captain AMERICA’s account when she’s wearing a GREAT BRITAIN outfit? Report to Sam or create one for her.” Others remain more confident and recall that this is just a marketing element, and that Sam will once again be highlighted once the dissemination of What If…? will be started. It is indeed astonishing that Marvel has already put aside its new flagship hero, rather than giving Peggy Carter her own account. We will put it down to clumsiness!
