The background to the outburst is a video that Rütter had previously published on his Instagram channel. As part of the “Die Unvermittelbaren” project, the dog trainer is looking for people who can give dogs from the animal shelter a second or third chance. In the video, Staffordshire male Chicco was presented.
This is a real bundle of energy, which is also shown by the fact that he cannot be properly led on a leash. The video shows how the dog repeatedly bites the leash – the dog handler, an employee of the animal shelter, seems visibly overwhelmed with the animal.

This is exactly what is apparently the reason for numerous derogatory Instagram comments. “What is the woman doing there? She doesn’t even know her way around, ”Rütter quotes in his video. “It really has to show you where the frog has the curls” or “It has to assert itself”.
This makes the dog trainer angry: The fact that Chicco bites the leash has nothing to do with the fact that the carer has no control over him. “This is a zookeeper who is totally committed to caring for dogs. And precisely the dogs that the people out there no longer want. If that doesn’t suit you, just shut up. But stop attacking and defaming people, ”Rütter rattles on.
With the video they wanted to show what problems Chicco dog had. In the meantime, the dog professional has deleted the clip and uploaded a new version. It also explains why the zookeeper treats the dog in this way – namely, so that interested parties can get an impression of “how much energy this dog has,” says Rütter. “When Chicco comes back to the kennel, it will be quiet immediately. As soon as he comes out, it starts all over again. Otherwise Chicco is really just spirited. “
