Ødegaard was brought to Real Madrid in 2015, 16 years old. He made his La Liga debut for Real Madrid the same year. He has also played one cup match for Los Blancos. It came in November 2016, when he played the entire match against Cultural Leonesa.
Last season he was loaned to Real Sociedad. This summer it became clear that Real Madrid brought the Norwegian back to the Spanish capital, and the 21-year-old became part of the stable of the giant club.
