After the match, the official PSSI Instagram account uploaded footage of Marselino’s goal. Richarlison commented on the video by giving a bird emoji and also uploaded it to his personal Instagram story.
This gesture is popularly known as “the dance of the pigeon” or dance of the pigeon. Richarlison often performs this celebration at club level and on the Brazilian national team.
“To be honest, I didn’t expect it. I had planned the celebration because it was fun,” Marselino told detikSport at Ninoy Aquino Airport, Manila, Philippines on his way back to Jakarta on Tuesday (3/1/2023) evening.
“In fact, I like to mimic celebrations. As long as it’s positive, it’s fine, my friends are all happy,” she continued.
The win against the Philippines advanced Indonesia to the semifinals AFF Cup 2022 with second place in group A.
