In the wake of the events of the past few days, TVA has decided to withdraw the appointments of Maripier Morin to the Artis Gala.

The broadcaster explained his decision in a message posted on the Internet.
“Maripier Morin admitted to having committed serious acts which called into question the physical integrity of a person, which led him to pause his professional life. In these circumstances, TVA removes it from the Artis nominees in the categories: Host of variety shows or entertainment and Female Personality of the Year, ”we read.
This announcement comes a week after Maripier Morin admitted having adopted “reprehensible behavior” towards Safia Nolin. The singer accused her of sexual harassment, physical assault and having made racist comments.
Since then, the networks have erased all traces of the host. Club illico no longer offers La faille, a series in which it played a secondary role. Bell Media has redacted its platforms (including Crave) from all of the shows featuring it, such as Code F, Code C, But why? and Maripier, his talk show at Z.
Radio-Canada also cleaned up the house. It is no longer possible to see his episode of Audition with Simon on HERE Tou.tv. The March 15, 2019 edition of Prayer Not to Send Flowers and the March 1, 2017 edition of Children of TV, in which it appeared, suffered the same fate.
Maripier Morin was a finalist for the Personality of the Year award at the Artis Gala with Véronique Cloutier, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse, Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin and Julie Le Breton. In terms of animation of variety shows or entertainment, she faced Charles Lafortune, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse, Jean-René Dufort and France Beaudoin.
